Description/Requirements:
Rockford Elementary Arts Magnet School is seeking a teacher to teach third/fourth grade Math and Literacy: The candidate will teach one section of Math and Reading at both the third and fourth grade level. This position will assist in reducing class sizes at both grade levels. The candidate should have the ability to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. The candidate should have a strong literacy and numeracy background and be able to differentiate for each individual learner. An Arts integrated curriculum is used and candidates will be trained.
* Meet and collaborate with classroom teachers and interventionists to discuss how to best meet the needs of the students on your caseload
* Gather screening/diagnostic information through a variety of formats: FAST Benchmarking Assessments, FAST Progress Monitoring Assessments, Decoding Inventories, and structured literacy assessments
* Participate in weekly PLC discussions
* Create prescriptive lessons designed to support and grow students at and beyond their literacy levels
* Adhere to science of reading, evidence based instruction
* Create individualized student goals based on assessment data
An appropriate license issued by the State of Minnesota is required.
