The ideal candidate will have a robust background in special education, possess expertise in ABS, ASD, DCD, EBD, and/or LD, and hold specific licensure for Special Education in the state of Minnesota. Location: North Elementary School Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement targeted instructional strategies to support students with disabilities in grades 2-4. 2. Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to social-emotional growth and academic achievement. 3. Collaborate effectively with fellow educators, special education staff, and parents to craft individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs. 4. Utilize evidence-based interventions and instructional techniques to address learning challenges and create an encouraging learning atmosphere. 5. Deliver differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom. 6. Regularly assess and monitor students' progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary to ensure academic success. 7. Employ data-driven decision-making processes to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust strategies accordingly. 8. Build a strong partnership with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's progress and involving them in the development of learning strategies. 9. Attend relevant professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education, contributing to ongoing improvement. 10. Collaborate with the school's multidisciplinary team to coordinate support services and resources for students with learning disabilities. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field. 2. Valid teaching certification with a focus on special education. 3. Specific licensure for Special Education in the state of Minnesota, with expertise in ABS, ASD, DCD, EBD, and/or LD. 4. Experience working with students facing learning challenges. 5. Strong understanding of evidence-based interventions and instructional strategies for ABS, ASD, DCD, EBD, and/or LD. 6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders. 7. Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
