ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 80% Clean 1. Clean, scrub, dust, mop, vacuum or sweep floors, stairs, classrooms, gyms, locker rooms, libraries, offices, commons, hallways, restrooms and other assigned areas 2. Wash windows in designated areas 3. Empty garbage cans 4. Strip, seal, wax and/or buff floors 5. Respond to emergency cleanup situations 6. Keep receiving and custodial storage areas clean and well maintained 7. Clean all areas of building in summer months as directed 5% Install/Maintain/Repair 1. Perform general building and furniture repair and maintenance 2. Replace lighting as needed 3. Assist with electrical, plumbing, painting and mechanical repairs projects 4. Ensure building security: lock and unlock buildings as necessary 5. Perform routine maintenance and upkeep on equipment and hardware throughout buildings 6. Monitor boiler operations and report any concerns to supervisor 7. Perform weekend building checks as assigned 5% Grounds 1. Perform outside maintenance including mowing, trimming, removal of debris, and spraying for weeds 2. Clean snow from sidewalks, steps and paths to parking lots, and apply sand/salt to ground surfaces 3. Maintain playgrounds and athletic fields 4. Raise/lower flag 5% Activities/Events 1. JOB SUMMARY:  

Provide custodial support for the School District in order to provide a clean, safe and healthy learning environment for students and staff. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

80%

Clean

  1. Clean, scrub, dust, mop, vacuum or sweep floors, stairs, classrooms, gyms, locker rooms, libraries, offices, commons, hallways, restrooms and other assigned areas

  2. Wash windows in designated areas

  3. Empty garbage cans

  4. Strip, seal, wax and/or buff floors

  5. Respond to emergency cleanup situations

  6. Keep receiving and custodial storage  areas clean and well maintained 

  7. Clean all areas of building in summer months as directed

Install/Maintain/Repair

  1. Perform general building and furniture repair and maintenance

  2. Replace lighting as needed

  3. Assist with electrical, plumbing, painting and mechanical repairs projects

  4. Ensure building security: lock and unlock buildings as necessary

  5. Perform routine maintenance and upkeep on equipment and hardware throughout buildings

  6. Monitor boiler operations and report any concerns to supervisor
