Saint Thomas Academy seeks a part-time (0.6 FTE) Learning Specialist for the 2025-2026 school year. Reporting to the office of Student Services, qualified candidates are willing to embrace the mission of Saint Thomas Academy and the philosophy of the Student Services Department. REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES * Maintain a caseload of approximately 20 students on Learning Plans * Proctor extended time exams for students on Learning Plans. This may include being a scribe or reader, depending on the student&#8217;s particular accommodation * Maintain frequent and effective communication with parents, students, faculty, staff, and administrators through in-person conversations, telephone, and email * Create, implement, scan, and download learning plans and accompanying documentation * Responsible for monthly college scholarship newsletter * Coordinate ACT and College Board accommodations for students with learning plans * Coordinate early College Counseling outreach to underclassmen * Support College Counseling with test prep and standardized testing GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES * Employment in and by the Church is substantially different from secular employment. Church employees must conduct themselves in a manner which is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church. Their public behavior must not violate the faith, morals or laws of the Church or the Archdiocese, such that it can embarrass the Church or give rise to scandal. While it is not required in this position for the employee to be a member of the Roman Catholic Church, it is expected that all employees will respect Catholic doctrine and religious practices. Reasonable accommodation for the religious practices of employees not of the Roman Catholic faith will similarly be provided. * In support of the mission and goals of Saint Thomas Academy, employees will follow all school policies and procedures. * All employees will support Saint Thomas Academy and the St. Paul/Minneapolis Archdiocese&#8217;s mission and goals by actively articulating them to the Academy&#8217;s constituents and the wider community.
