The Kasson-Mantorville School District No. 204 is seeking a passionate and innovative HIGH SCHOOL TEACHING & LEARNING COORDINATOR. We are located in Kasson, MN, fifteen minutes from downtown Rochester and approximately an hour south of the Twin Cities. Academically, we offer a comprehensive curriculum at each level. Each building in the district scores in the 99th percentile in the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments multiple measures rankings and over 85 percent of our 7-12 students are involved in extra or co-curricular activities. CLASSIFICATION: At-Will
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. MN valid teacher license certification
2. Requires a Master’s Degree in Education and five (5) years of successful teaching experience. Proven record of improving student achievement is preferred.
3. MN Administrative License (or in progress)
REPORTS TO: High School Principal and Director of Student and Staff Support Systems
JOB GOAL: In coordination with the High School Principal and Director of Student and Staff Support Systems, this position will serve students in academics and behavior as well as provide instructional leadership for all staff.
* This position requires the ability to serve as a key resource to KMHS teachers and staff.
* The Teaching and Learning Coordinator will apply knowledge of current instructional theories, methodologies, techniques, and principles affecting the instruction of grade level or course level curriculums.
* The Teaching and Learning Coordinator must understand how to analyze data and use results for instructional improvement.
* The Teaching and Learning Coordinator will lead professional development and coordinate monthly Professional Learning Communities.
* The Teaching and Learning Coordinator will lead and coordinate the HS advisory program (BRIDGE), the Internship program, and serve as the HS 504 coordinator.
* The Teaching and Learning Coordinator will collaborate with the HS Principal and Director of Student and Staff Support Systems to lead the implementation of district-wide educational initiatives at the high school level, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
* The Teaching and Learning Coordinator will engage in teacher growth goal creation and monitoring, classroom walkthroughs, and instructional coaching cycles.
* The Teaching and Learning Coordinator will work collaboratively with the high school principal to manage student discipline.
* The Teaching and Learning Coordinator will lead the high school math and reading intervention program and coordinate fall, winter, and spring FastBridge testing at the high school.
* The Teaching and Learning Coordinator will demonstrate leadership qualities, interpersonal skills, and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with new and experienced teachers, students, parents and administrators
CONTRACT DAYS: 205 days
* Any additional days utilized in the summer will be compensated with days off during the school year with Superintendent Pre-Approval.
* Any additional days utilized during the school year will be compensated with days off during the school year with Superintendent Pre-Approval.
* Any additional days beyond 205 that are not able to be compensated during the school year need to be pre-approved by the Superintendent and will be paid at the daily rate.
Contract Information
