This is a full-time, 12-month position, with Category III benefits Summary of Duties: The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing complex accounting functions, including financial reconciliations, grant accounting, and compliance reporting. This position requires some independent judgment in applying accounting principles and financial regulations while ensuring accuracy and compliance with school district policies. The Staff Accountant works under the supervision of the Accounting Coordinator, who provides guidance on financial policy implementation, budget analysis, and audit preparation. Education/Certification: * Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field required. * CPA or governmental accounting certification preferred but not required. Qualifications: * Strong understanding of governmental accounting principles (GAAP, UFARS) and financial regulations * Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrections. * Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools. * Experience in financial reconciliation, grant accounting, and compliance tracking. * Ability to work under deadlines, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and provide financial insights.
