This full-time position includes directing the high school and middle school program, as well as elementary classroom instruction. Requirements & Qualifications A Minnesota teaching degree is required in 5-12 Vocal Music. Related licensure and/or experience in the music field may be considered. Essential Functions * Develops a balanced music program and lessons to organize class time so that students have adequate time for preparation, rehearsal and instruction. * Utilizes repertoire of all types of music literature as appropriate. * Plans, coordinates rehearsals for, and directs students in musical programs and performances outside the classroom. * Schedules and coordinates performance dates for auditorium use, arranges for set up and take down of equipment and care of auditorium. * Develops and administers music education curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives. * Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small/large group instruction and student learning. Communicates with students, parents and multiple stakeholders.
