Position Overview: The Peer Coach is a critical role in aligning classroom practices with Vision 2031, using the Hopkins Coaching Framework to drive meaningful teacher growth and instructional excellence. By focusing on instructional leadership, personalized professional learning, and fostering a collaborative learning culture; this role will empower educators to continuously reflect, grow, and enhance their practices. The coach will support teachers through coaching, embedded professional learning, and collaboration to help achieve the district's educational goals while building a culture of trust and ongoing learning. Key Responsibilities: 1. Instructional Leadership & Vision Connection (20%) * Connect the Vision 2031 strategic goals to classroom practices, ensuring that educators' teaching approaches align with the district&#8217;s long-term vision. * Facilitate the integration of the Hopkins Learning Framework through participation in HILT (Hopkins Instructional Leadership Team) and BILT (Building Instructional Leadership Team) to improve educator practice, leading to student success. * Provide support for Collaborative Teams, ensuring teachers are equipped with cutting-edge instructional strategies and practices. * Drive ongoing reflective practices, coaching, and data analysis to identify areas for improvement and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. 1. Ongoing Professional Development & Reflection (20%) * Design and deliver personalized professional learning opportunities tailored to teachers&#8217; individual needs, ensuring that these resources align with Vision 2031, the Hopkins Learning Framework, and site goals. * Curate high-quality resources and materials that support teachers&#8217; growth in both instructional practices and personal development. * Provide consulting and expert advice on the application of educational frameworks, integrating technology, equity practices, and fostering a growth mindset. 1. Coaching & Collaborative Practice (60%) * Build strong, trust-based relationships with licensed staff (both tenured and probationary), creating a safe and supportive space for growth-focused reflection and feedback. * Engage in growth-centered coaching cycles through co-teaching, modeling, and learning walks to deepen teacher practice and improve student outcomes. * Lead curriculum co-creation sessions to ensure alignment with instructional goals and state standards, and foster collaboration among educators. * Conduct group coaching sessions to enhance collaborative problem-solving and the sharing of best practices. * Support teachers in refining their instructional techniques, setting professional goals, and integrating data-driven practices into their teaching. Promote a Culture of Trust and Continuous Learning * Establish and nurture a culture of collaboration and open communication where teachers feel valued, supported, and empowered to develop professionally. * Encourage a growth-focused mindset through ongoing feedback, positive reinforcement, and tailored coaching that promotes self-reflection and continuous learning. Qualifications: * Teaching License and a minimum of seven years of teaching experience. * Strong understanding of Vision 2031 and the Hopkins Learning Framework. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong, trust-based relationships with educators. * Experience in facilitating professional development and coaching teachers through reflective practices resulting in improved student outcomes. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and provide individualized support. * Familiarity with using data to inform instructional decisions and drive teacher and student growth. Preferred Skills and Experience: * Experience in co-teaching or modeling instructional strategies. * Experience with curriculum co-creation and leading Collaborative Teams. * Familiarity with using data analysis to track teacher progress and inform professional development initiatives.
