Creating a safe social-emotional learning environment Job Summary Provides due-process assistance to the Special Education Coordinator by performing duties, such as data entry, bookkeeping, responding to telephone calls, and maintaining files and records. Functions as a liaison between client-parents and the professional support staff. Also handling confidential information, receiving and responding to inquiries and requests, preparing correspondence and other written communication, and other duties as needed. Responsibilities * Assists Special Education Coordinator with communications between staff, parents and other professionals: * Keeps the special education MARSS data up to date and consistent with data in SPED forms * Assists Special Education Coordinator with due process timelines and other special education requirements. * Maintains special education office * Orders and inventories supplies for office or district wide orders. Receives packages and verifies receiving a copy of the purchase order. Reports discrepancies or damage. * Communicates well with Special Education coordinator, staff and parents * Employee is responsible to be knowledgeable about all district and special education policies * This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive, and the employee will also perform other reasonable related business duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
