SUMMARY: The Elementary Learning, Teaching, and Equity Instructional Coach will serve as a collaborative partner to teachers, providing support in the implementation of evidence-based reading practices and high-quality math instruction aligned with district, state, and national standards. The coach will support instructional excellence through modeling, co-teaching, data analysis, professional learning, and instructional planning. This role aims to ensure all students receive rigorous, culturally responsive instruction that meets their needs and is central to increasing student achievement by strengthening classroom instruction and building teacher capacity. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Instructional Support & Collaboration * Partner with teachers to implement high-impact, evidence-based instructional strategies in literacy and math. * Engage in coaching cycles that support continuous improvement, including modeling, co-teaching, observation, and feedback. * Support the integration of culturally and linguistically responsive practices in daily instruction. Data-Driven Instruction * Assist teachers in analyzing formative and summative assessment data to inform instruction. * Coach with grade level teams or individual teachers on designing modifications, accommodations or enrichments to support the needs of unique learners. * Promote asset-based approaches to student progress monitoring and instructional decisions. Curriculum & Instructional Leadership * Stay current with research and trends in reading and math instruction. * Serve as a resource for evidence-based instructional materials and practices. * Collaborate with school leaders to ensure vertical and horizontal alignment of instruction. * Attend regular meetings with district instructional coaches to align work and practices across buildings. * Attend training and workshops throughout the year, including summer. Professional Development * Design and facilitate professional learning opportunities that support the Science of Reading, high-quality math practices, and culturally responsive teaching practices. * Facilitate PLCs and data meetings to guide instructional decision-making and intervention/enrichment planning. * Support teachers in understanding and implementing district-adopted curricula and assessments. * Plan and provide training in administration of district adopted assessments (ex. FastBridge, DRA). Other duties as assigned by Supervisor MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications: * Valid Minnesota teaching license in Elementary Education. * Minimum of 3&#8211;5 years of successful elementary classroom teaching experience. * Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based literacy practices (e.g., LETRS, CORE, Reading Recovery, and/or other explicit training in literacy preferred). * Familiarity with high-quality math instruction (e.g., mathematical discourse, conceptual understanding, and problem-solving strategies, Add Vantage Math Recovery, Building Thinking Classrooms, and/or other explicit training in math preferred). * Strong classroom management skills. * Effective communication skills. * Ability to build successful relationships with staff. Preferred: * Master&#8217;s degree in Curriculum & Instruction, Literacy, Mathematics or Educational Leadership. * Coaching experience or completion of instructional coaching training (e.g., Jim Knight model, Cognitive Coaching). * Experience leading professional development or mentoring teachers. SUMMARY:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications

  • Valid Minnesota teaching license in Elementary Education.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of successful elementary classroom teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based literacy practices (e.g., LETRS, CORE,  Reading Recovery, and/or other explicit training in literacy preferred).

  • Strong classroom management skills.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction, Literacy, Mathematics or Educational Leadership.
  • Coaching experience or completion of instructional coaching training (e.g., Jim Knight model, Cognitive Coaching).
  • Experience leading professional development or mentoring teachers.
