Creating a safe Social-Emotional Learning Environment Job Summary The District Special Education Coordinator is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological growth. This person is responsible for organizing and implementing an instructional program that will result in students achieving academic success in accordance with CSE&#8217;s mission, vision, programs and policies. This person will provide focused instructional supervision to all SPED PK-12 teachers and paraprofessionals. The District Special Education Coordinator collaborates regularly with the Chief Academic Officer, Chief Operations Officer, and District Director of Special Education. Responsibilities * Collaborate with Director of Special Education to coordinate the District Special Education program PK-12 * Oversee and coordinate Special Education assessments * Oversee all Special Education files and documentation * Coordinate and facilitate Special Education department meetings * Coordinate Special Education evaluations and child find committee * Be a part of the MTSS, Child Study, Academic and Special Education teams * Provide focused instructional supervision, support and accountability for all SPED staff PK-12 * Provide support, training, mentoring for Special Education teachers, paraprofessionals, and regular teachers related to Special Education * Attend state meetings and conferences related to Special Education as appropriate * Conduct presentations on Special Education to staff, parents and community on behalf of CSE. * Conduct informal observations of PK-12 staff * Assist Administration in matters related to Special Education * Attend Academic Core Team meetings as needed Qualifications * Bachelor&#8217;s Degree or higher (Master&#8217;s Degree preferred) from an accredited college or university * A valid MN Teacher License required * Special Education License in one or more areas of disability * Teaching experience in diverse cultural settings is valued -- Community School of Excellence School District #4181, 270 Larpenteur Ave West, St. Paul, MN 55113 Please submit the following: 1. Responsibilities

Qualifications
