This full-time teaching position for 2025-26 and beyond will be part of a collaborative team committed to achieving the goals of education through faith-filled learning experiences. The teacher for this position provides an experienced and dynamic learning environment focused on excellence in academics, and partners with parents, staff, and other volunteers to create a loving community that reflects the values of our Catholic faith. Immaculate Conception School is a preschool-grade 8 school serving students in Columbia Heights and the surrounding communities. We are celebrating our 87th year with a focus on Faith, Academics and Service. Responsibilities: * Teach all assigned subjects in accordance with the school's mission, principles, and curriculum. * Conduct yourself in a manner consistent with the mission and purpose of the Church. * Participate in faculty meetings, learning teams, and professional development. * Write objective-centered lesson plans and maintain a positive atmosphere. * Adhere to the employee handbook. * Exhibit competence in instructional methods and knowledge of subject matter. * Demonstrate good classroom management and a collegial atmosphere. * Integrate technology into lessons and communicate effectively with the school community. * Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and honesty. * Plan, organize, and meet deadlines. * Partner with our parents and other staff members to ensure the success of each student * Honor and support school initiatives, administrative decisions, the vision of our archdiocese, and the Catholic Church * Fulfill total commitments of the educational program and other activities of the school year including Christmas concerts, graduation, and other programs deemed necessary by the principal. Qualifications: * A BA or BS Degree and a current MN Teaching License are required to correspond with the courses taught. * Middle School Licensure and/or experience teaching Middle School Science, * Demonstrate evidence of strong and effective classroom management techniques, specifically with middle school students. * Ability to adapt to new programs/processes. * Desire to work within a team and ability to maintain a positive atmosphere with colleagues. 1. Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely fashion with school, students, staff, and parents. 2.
