We also want to provide an experiential learning enviroment to enhance the learning. Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Hastings High School Summer School Principal the Hastings High School Summer School Teacher will be responsible for team planning and teaching, development and implementation of instructional plans for both in-person and online, supervision of pupil support assistants, and program evaluations. Expectation: An understanding that there is a commitment to the whole summer school session barring unforseen circumstances. Summer School Schedule: June 9, 2024 - June 27, 2024 (except June 19) Teaching: Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 12:00 pm Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles. * Knowledge of high school curriculum and concepts, including all subject matters taught. * Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and the formulation of action plans. * Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students. * Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed. * Ability to organize and coordinate work. * Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents. * Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work. Required Qualifications: * Certified Minnnesota Teaching Licensure Experience: Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate teaching assignment Compensation/Benefits: * $37 per hour * This position does not qualify for benefits.
