Full-time or Part-time High School Math & Science Teacher Seeking a Passionate and Dedicated Full-time High School Math & Science Teacher Lakeview Christian Academy is looking to hire a full-time High School Math & Science teacher to add to our dedicated staff. We are looking to hire a committed Christian teacher to foster and facilitate the intellectual and social development of our students, teaching with patience, enthusiasm and creativity. We are seeking someone with strong skills in classroom management. The High School Math & Science teacher&#8217;s duties include: designing a teaching plan using activities and instructional methods that motivate students, implementing curriculum in a way that enhances learning, and organizing the classroom environment to inspire learning. Essential Job Functions for Teachers * Act with biblical integrity. * Create daily lesson plans and learning activities for students based on national, local and school standards in science education and research and knowledge of developmental behaviors. * Deliver high-quality, engaging instruction in the form of discussion, direct teaching, science labs, demonstrations and independent practice using a variety of proven methods. * Post all classroom lessons and activities on Google Classroom. * Establish and maintain proper discipline on the school premises. * Cooperate with the Board and Administration in implementing policies, procedures, and directives governing the operation of the school. * Cooperate with the Board, Administration, staff, and parents in accomplishing the goals and outcomes of the school. * Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-organized workspace. * Follow the Matthew 18 principle in dealing with student, parental, staff, or administrative conflict. * Seek the counsel of the Administrator, colleagues, and parents while maintaining a teachable attitude. * Assist in developing/maintaining a positive school climate that encourages orderly conduct by students. * Demonstrate leadership and support of the educational/administrative philosophies of the school. Qualifications * A passion to not only interact with students but guide them in the development of their own faith * A bachelor's degree in education * An active teaching license * Ability to plan and implement effective lessons to keep all students engaged * The ability to implement effective classroom management strategies. * Familiarity with google and other software applications, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, email, and common utilities. * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Excels at taking independent initiative while fostering teamwork and collaboration within the organization. * Impeccable integrity in handling confidential and/or sensitive information and situations.
