Qualifications: Associates degree (or higher) or passing the para pro test
Certified as a CNA; current CPR certification required: The CNA assists the school nurse by providing basic healthcare to students, including administering first aid for injuries, monitoring student health concerns, taking vital signs, assisting with routine screenings, maintaining health records, and managing supplies under the direction of the registered nurse, ensuring a safe and healthy school environment for all students.
Time Limitations: Present employees must apply within seven work days by May 12, 2025.
Summary: The primary goal of this Nurse para position is to monitor and provide support for students.
Salary: Per Classified Agreement
Pay Lane 8 of the Classified Contract
This Year: $18.74 to $24.98.
Next Year: $19.30 to $25.73.

Job Description & Qualifications
1. Preferred but NOT required: Current and ongoing nursing licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or higher (ex: RN) in accordance with the Minnesota Board of Nursing
2. Current and ongoing CPR certification required;
3. Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance to HIPAA and FERPA;
4. Preferred but NOT required: candidate will have a minimum of two years supervised nursing experience in community or child health care prior to entry.
5. The preferred candidate will be able to provide independent nursing services (intake and care for students, administration of medications, writing nursing notes, and data entry)
6. Provide appropriate emergency care of illness or injury to students and staff in accordance with school district policy and procedure.
7. Communication skills (verbal and written) to serve as liaison between school, staff, families and other health professionals.
