Start Date: 2025-26 School Year Closing Date: 05/13/2025 Work Week: 1.0 FTE Student Level: Elementary The teacher in the School-Within-a-School for the Exceptionally Gifted (Explorations) is responsible for classroom instruction of exceptionally gifted students in a multi-grade setting. Position Summary: * Performs the challenging professional work of cultivating a learning community that leverages gifted students&#8217; passions and academic needs to develop the skills, attitudes, and knowledge for a foundation in future learning. * Creates and ensures a culture that supports the social and emotional growth of highly gifted students. * Fosters relationships and maintains consistent communication with families. * Collaborates with both the Explorations team and the District Gifted and Talented Coordinator. * Assigned work is performed under the limited supervision of the building principal. Will require the occasional oversight of a paraprofessional. Education and /or Experience: MN Teaching License in Elementary Education required. Certificate and/or experience in the area of Gifted and Talented Education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
