Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join our team at Avon Elementary School. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with students, families, and staff to provide support and resources that promote the social, emotional, and academic well-being of our young learners. This full-time position requires a commitment to fostering a positive school environment and addressing the diverse needs of students.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
- Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create a supportive learning environment.
- Develop and implement programs that promote positive behavior and conflict resolution.
- Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community resources to connect students with necessary services.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed to ensure success.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions and interventions in compliance with confidentiality regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as needed.
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices in school social work and mental health.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent.
- Experience working in a school setting, particularly with elementary-aged children, is preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development, social-emotional learning, and mental health issues affecting children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.

Salary Range:
* $43,836 - $82,127
