Job description St. Paul City School is a PreK-12 charter school located in the Frogtown neighborhood of St. Paul, Minnesota. We are a trauma-informed school district committed to antiracism and the principles of community-based schooling. The Community Outreach Navigator will work closely with school staff, students, and families across Saint Paul City School and alongside partner organizations to improve the health and well-being of Saint Paul City School Community. The Community Outreach Navigator is responsible for school-based health services, social-service program development, and coordination of community services for students and families. Community Outreach Navigator will facilitate community relationship-building and partnership development and ensure high-quality coordination of staff, partners, interns, volunteers, and vendors across Saint Paul City School community networks. This role will include maintaining detailed knowledge and execution of the St. Paul City School handbook policies as well as following specific federal, state, and local grant goals for reporting. The Community Outreach Navigator will adhere to budget reporting guidelines and dates, as well as support and assist the Care Team, Family Liaisons, and the Full-Service Community School Coordinator. This position reports to the Director of Community Education. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Build strong and trusted relationships with students, families, and community partners. * Provide high-quality, Community Outreach Navigator sistent service delivery across Community School programs aligned with the FSCS Action Plan. * Maintain accurate quantitative and qualitative data regarding program access and outcomes, Community Outreach Navigator tinuously. * Ensure community health and wellness indicators achieve outcomes and meet established program goals through meaningful evaluation. * Create a culturally appropriate and engaging Community Outreach Navigator tent for workshops, demonstrations, health events, and community-centered discussions. * Provide direct and indirect service to participants and execute programs and services that engage community members and support community and whole family wellness. * Attend all scheduled meetings, training, and workshops related to the Community Outreach Navigator's scope of work. * Work with Family Liaisons & Community School Coordinator Community Outreach Navigator tinue to improve and expand community health programs and services. * Submit reports to the Community School Coordinator and /or other partners as needed. * Actively participate in planning and managing materials, supplies, and event expenses. * Community Outreach Navigator will cover all related expenses. * Maintain communication with the administration relative to all program activities. * Communicate to the administration the needs and problems of the activity program and submit recommendations relative to the program. * Assist in maintaining open lines of communication with parents and address complaints. * Use social media outlets to communicate and keep stakeholders and community members informed. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Strong self-management, communication, and organizational skills. * Desire to work with parents, students, community partners, health organizations, health providers, and colleagues to build an effective program * Bachelor's degree or comparable experience required. * At least 2-3 years of experience in education or community/social services preferred. * Effective written and verbal communication skills. * Tactful and effective with students, families, colleagues, and community members. * Flexibility and an ability to manage time and multiple tasks effectively. * Commitment to involving and empowering youth and families. * Adaptability for directed and independent work. * Strong collaboration skills with school-wide administration and school teams. * Accepts direction from supervising staff.
