Key Responsibilities Instruction & Student Support * Provide developmentally appropriate, individualized instruction aligned with student&#8217;s IEPs. * Support growth across developmental domains including communication, social-emotional, motor, cognitive, and adaptive skills. * Collaborate with families, early childhood educators, and related service providers in natural learning environments such as homes, preschool classrooms, and community-based programs. * Adapt materials and activities to meet the unique learning needs of each student. * Consult and support students who are identified under the category of Developmental Delay (DD). IEP Development & Implementation * Participate in evaluation, eligibility determination, and IEP development for eligible children ages birth to 6. * Monitor student progress and adjust strategies based on ongoing observation and data collection. * Ensure timely and appropriate implementation of IEP goals, accommodations, and services. Collaboration & Consultation * Partner with families to support student development and build capacity in home and educational settings. * Consult with early childhood program staff to promote inclusive practices and implement IEP strategies. * Serve as a case manager to ensure coordination of services and communication across teams. Compliance & Documentation * Maintain accurate and timely records, service logs, and progress reports in accordance with federal and state requirements. * Ensure compliance with Minnesota&#8217;s special education procedural safeguards. Qualifications * Licensed Early Childhood Special Education Teacher in Minnesota (Birth&#8211;Age 6). * Experience with developmental screening, evaluation, IEP development, and early childhood instructional strategies. * Understanding of developmental milestones, early intervention practices, and inclusive early learning environments. * Strong communication, collaboration, and family engagement skills. * Knowledge of special education laws, early childhood best practices, and procedural requirements.
