POSITION PURPOSE:
Lead and support special programs serving students with significant needs. Oversee staff, behavior plans, and programming to ensure access to education in the least restrictive environment. Collaborate on school-wide systems, staff development, and student success.
* Ensure effective delivery of behavioral, academic, and functional supports for students with significant disabilities.
* Positive behavior support plans, behavior interventions, and due process compliance
* Support student placement, discipline, and programming decisions in the least restrictive environment.
* PBIS development, Tiered Support Team processes, Extended School Year (ESY) coordination, and crisis response
$55,000-$75,000 depending on education and experience; 197 duty days
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
* Current licensure through Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) in a special education or related services field, OR Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy OR Minnesota Board of Social Work.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in an educational and/or clinical setting
* Ability to operate a computer and the software necessary to complete the required job tasks
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
* Master’s degree in special education or related field
* At least one year in a leadership/supervisory position
* Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering staff training and professional development opportunities aligned with evidence based best practices in special education and behavior support.
