FULL-TIME ONLINE SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER Begins August 2025 Applications accepted through May 23, 2025&#8212;or until a qualified pool of applicants has responded The mission of MNOHS is to engage, inspire, and educate the whole student for an options-rich future through a challenging, flexible, teacher-developed curriculum; with the encouragement of responsive faculty and staff; within a creative, equitable and supportive learning community. A small, teacher-powered online public charter school, MNOHS is an award-winning collaborative environment for board, faculty, staff, students and families across Minnesota and a credible voice for creative, connected online learning. We are currently accepting applications for a full-time online special education teacher. &#183; MNOHS core hours are 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. M-F, during which time full-time staff are expected to be online and available for synchronous meetings. &#183; Other hours for a full-time position are expected to be served immediately before or after noted core hours. At times synchronous meetings will also occur during these assigned times. &#183; This position requires infrequent visits to the MNOHS office in Saint Paul and/or travel. To better reflect the diversity of our student body, we especially encourage people of color and of all genders and abilities to apply. Responsibilities: &#183; Complete Teaching Online, the MNOHS training course, and participate in ongoing online professional development (synchronous and asynchronous). &#183; Experience with due process paperwork and able to complete these elements of the position effectively. &#183; Knowledge of transition services and ability to help families navigate transition after high school. &#183; Teach and manage a case load in a highly interactive and collaborative online environment. &#183; Knowledge and ability to work with at-risk youth with empathy and understanding. Qualifications: &#183; Minnesota license or licensure candidate in one or more special education areas. &#183; Excellent communication, teaching, and strategic skills &#183; Interest in asynchronous online learning environments &#183; (Preferred) Interest in assessing students, including initial evaluations &#183; (Preferred) Experience as an online student Application Process: Applications will be accepted through Friday May 23, 2025, or until a qualified pool of applicants has responded.
