Twin Cities International Schools (TCIS) is now hiring for a K-8 ABS or ASD Licensed Special Education Teacher for the 2025-26 School Year. Applicants must hold a current MN ABS or ASD Special Education Teaching License by hire date.
Duties include: Case management and teaching high needs students with federal setting 2 and 3 designation. Provide support to staff in supporting students who are on the autism spectrum as well as students with unique learning needs. Assist with student behavior and sensory support, classroom setup, coordination of staff training, intervention ideas and data collection systems. Other duties may be assigned.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of behavior concerns and how they impact learning. Exhibit skills at determining function of behavior. Exhibit skills in behavior management. Maintain certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention. Able to work as part of a collaborative team. Able to prioritize work tasks to address the most critical issues first. Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience with standards-based instruction and English Language learners a plus. This position will be working within both the elementary and middle school settings (K-8).
Salary is determined by experience and education, with the upcoming 2025-26 school year licensed employee salaries ranging from $46,635.47 to $84,238.12. Additional salary amounts available for completed Master's, Master's + 60 credits, Ed.D. or Ph.D. Please see the TCIS 2025-26 salary chart on our website for current specific salary breakdown:

Additional benefits are also available for full-time employees, including medical and dental benefits (optional) and include coverage of employee, employee + 1 or family. Employee is responsible for a monthly insurance premium, depending on plan and coverage selected. Life Insurance/AD&D, along with Short-term and Long-term disability coverage, is provided by TCIS. Flex spending accounts for medical or dependent care are also available, but optional. TCIS requires enrollment in TRA (Teacher's Retirement Association) retirement plan for all licensed employees.
