As a School Psychologist, you’ll work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team to support students’ mental health, learning, and behavioral needs. Key Responsibilities:
Assessment & Evaluation:
* Conduct comprehensive education evaluations to support special education eligibility and service planning.
* Administer, score, and interpret standardized cognitive, academic, behavioral, and emotional assessments.
* Gather data through observation, interviews, and record reviews to inform intervention and eligibility decisions.
Intervention & Student Support:
* Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
* Provide recommendations to address social-emotional and behavioral concerns.
* Design and support implementation of targeted interventions to improve academic and behavioral outcomes.
Collaboration & Consultation:
* Work closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to promote positive behavioral supports and mental wellness in school communities.
* Collaborate with families to identify student needs, develop plans, and provide resources that support learning and development.
* Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and problem-solving sessions to support student success.
Mental Health & Crisis Response:
* Address student mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment challenges.
* Provide crisis intervention and short-term support during emergencies or traumatic events.
* Refer students and families to appropriate community-based mental health resources when necessary.
Qualifications:
* Licensed School Psychologist in Minnesota.
* Experience in school-based assessment, intervention, and consultation.
* Knowledge of IDEA, MTSS frameworks, and best practices in mental health and behavioral support.
* Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
