Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Performs routine and project cleaning of assigned classrooms, office areas, meeting rooms, corridors, lavatories, and locker rooms. * Completes set-ups and take downs of chairs, tables, and heavy or bulky equipment as directed * Cleans up and santizes after accidents or illness * Assists in cleaning and monitoring boilers, vents, and air handling equipment. * Maintains and properly stores tools and equipment. * Follows all security measures when opening or closing a facility. POSITION: Hourly Custodian LOCATION: South View Middle School HOURS PER DAY: 8 hours/day DAILY SCHEDULE: 3:30pm - 12:00am, Monday - Friday DAYS PER YEAR: 260 (12-month position) RATE OF PAY: The wage for this position ranges from $23.60 to $24.97 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. New candidates will start at the entry-level rate of $23.60 per hour. QUALIFICATIONS: -High school diploma or equivalent -Pool license preferred or ability to obtain one -Boiler license preferred or ability to obtain one -Ability to collaborate effectively with a team. -Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. -Mechanical aptitude for performing and learning repair work. -Custodial experience preferred, training will be provided.
