POSITION SUMMARY: The Program Success Coach's role is to support Special Education Teacher Pipeline program candidates throughout their educational journey to become a Tier III or IV fully licensed special educator. The Program Success Coach serves as the primary contact for programmatic support. The Program Success Coach manages a pipeline of candidates by coaching, motivating, mentoring, removing barriers, problem solving, providing strategies for completion, and progress monitoring. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: * Implement exceptional programming designed to support teacher candidates access to services and supports to successfully complete teacher preparation program and licensed as a Tier III or IV special educator; * Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing, communication, recruitment and outreach program to ensure eligible candidates are aware of the program and know how to apply to the program; * Develop and implement a mentoring program for all candidates; * Contribute to retention, enrollment, and career outcomes through effective coaching; * Manage a candidate caseload; building relationships, identifying academic and financial concerns, and providing solutions for course completion when candidates face obstacles preventing them from completing their courses; * Maintain accurate and up to date candidate information in the database; including but not limited to the regular update of candidate statuses, detailed conversational notes, and secure document collection; * Use best practices and sound judgement to coach candidates with various personal and professional challenges, connecting students to teacher preparation services and other supports as needed; * Coordinate with teacher preparation program partners to support student enrollment and program completion; * Meet exceptional customer service standards and communicate regularly and professionally with all district and higher education partners, including special education leadership and candidates, and responding in a timely manner to voicemails, phone calls, text messages, and emails; * Work closely with the partner districts and teacher preparation program partners to ensure barrier free participation in the program and completion of licensure program; * Protect the confidentiality of candidate personal information and comply with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and/or other applicable procedures, standards, requirements and laws; * Must comply with all SWWC company procedures and policies, including SWWC privacy and security policies; * Implement a system to collect feedback from all stakeholders and use the data to make adjustments to the program as needed; * Provide regular updates about the implementation and outcome of the grant to MDE and partners as required; * Provide good public relations with member districts, staff, and the general public; * Follow all policies and regulations; * Regular and prompt attendance is essential; * Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in education, special education or related field preferred; 5 years working in education setting preferred. Must have completed or be willing to complete the New Teacher Center Instructional Coach Training requirements. Willingness to work outside of the regular instructional day; excellent oral, written, and technology skills. Experience with coordination, higher education programs, advising, recruitment, and academic coaching preferred. Valid Driver's License. A criminal background check will be conducted on successful applicant. CONTRACT/SALARY: Full-time position to begin June 2nd, 2025. Up to 20 days in the 24-25 school year. Approximately 150-day contract 25-26 school year. The salary range for this position is $47,338-$67,419 for 150 days.
