Who We Are: St. John the Baptist Catholic Montessori school serves children from 16 months-8th grade. Our Catholic identity complements the Montessori method, which helps students understand their dignity as children of God, how to make good choices, and the importance of a faithful community. St. John the Baptist strives to nurture a culture of authentic joy, hope, and knowledge.
Who We Are Looking For: St. John the Baptist Catholic Montessori School is looking for a dedicated, passionate individual to support toddlers in their daily social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through the Montessori method. This includes leading by example, and engaging with children in a kind, firm, and joyful manner. This is a full-time position, primarily Monday-Friday; assistants are expected to be on campus from 8:00am-4:30pm on scheduled school days. Occasional evening and weekend time is necessary.

Qualifications
The ideal applicant will have the following qualifications:
* Deep devotion to Christ and to the Catholic Church
* Love children and desire to help them grow in their character, virtue, and faith development
* High school diploma or Bachelor's Degree
* Have or build an understanding of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd or be open to learning about it
* Be able to discipline children with kindness, firmness, and consistency
* Be able to maintain a positive working relationship with classroom Guide and other staff, respecting and supporting colleagues and using proper grievance procedures
* Be able to maintain strong relationships with parents characterized by goodwill, and with the understanding that parents are the primary educators of their children
* Be able to pass a background check
* Complete VIRTUS training
