FULL-TIME SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER - MINNEOTA PUBLIC SCHOOLS Minneota Public Schools is seeking applications for a full-time School Social Worker. This position will be equally shared Lakeview Public Schools and Minneota Public Schools. POSITION SUMMARY The School Social Worker will provide students in multiple grades (K-12) with services to improve social-emotional, health, academic, and wellness outcomes. The School Social Worker will offer services to students and provide resources and support to promote academic achievement and social-emotional well-being. The School Social Worker will work closely with other staff members and also maintain a relationship with the students&#8217; families. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor&#8217;s degree in social work is required, Master&#8217;s Degree is preferred. * Valid Minnesota School Social Work License is required, or in the process of obtaining the License. * Knowledge in research-based Best Practices. * Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with multidisciplinary teams. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Provide support for students by working directly with individual students and-or groups of students to increase their academic, social/behavioral, communication, and study skills. * Perform direct social work support services to youth and their families. * Implement prosocial teaching strategies to increase student participation and engagement. * Participate in and conduct trainings for district staff on aspects of problem solving including data collection and positive behavioral supports. * Assist school staff in the identification of students with disabilities ages birth through 21 through participation in intervention activities, child study committees, and consultation activities. * Support the needs of all the students in PreK-grade 12. * Work with School Counselors, School Social Workers, and Administrators in Lakeview and Miinneota to plan and implement support plans and weekly individual and group meetings. * Conduct small groups and classroom lessons that focus on social work/youth-related issues. * Provide direct support to classroom teachers with students who may need additional supportive intervention services. * Provide a sense of positive school community while developing leadership skills within our students. * Develop relationships with youth and families that foster academic success. SALARY/CONTRACT The contract will be for 8 hours per day for the entire 2025-2026 school year. Salary will be determined based on experience and licensing. Salary range is $44,344 to $72,000. A competitive compensation and benefits package will be negotiated based upon the successful candidate&#8217;s background and experience.
