The Learning, Teaching and Equity Coach will assist teachers by providing support in the areas of district professional development, critical instructional practices, curriculum implementation, integration of technology and effective culturally responsive practices. This position is for the 2025-2026 school year, with the potential for ongoing work dependent upon grant funding. Essential duties and responsibilities: Coaching LTE Coach * Model and encourage &#8220;best practices&#8221; in the classroom for new teachers to observe, discuss and reflect on * Promote and support culturally responsive teaching practices and equity mindset * Model and encourage integration of technology into daily lessons * Conduct coaching cycles with teachers to improve practice through modeling, co-teaching, questioning and reflection Curriculum Implementation Coach * Assist teachers with the implementation of program and curriculum changes * Plan and work with PLC teams * Facilitate unit and lesson design * Support and address technology integration as related to the implementation plan. * Conduct coaching cycles with teachers to improve practice through modeling, co-teaching, questioning and reflection * Assist with district curriculum articulation meetings as needed District Professional Development * Attend training and/or lead workshops throughout the year, including summer, aligned to District strategic direction and goals * District Professional Development: * Lead and assist in planning professional development programming at the district and building level * Assist and support the implementation of critical instructional practices and integration of technology to support learning * Assist with the planning and delivery of District professional development * Assist with the implementation of District strategic direction and goals * Program Specific Professional Development: * Collaborate with the Learning, Teaching and Equity Department to provide support & professional development for specific programs * Collaborate with the Articulation Facilitator(s) regarding professional development supports for curriculum implementations Professional Expertise * Possess high quality instructional practices in all aspects of teaching and learning, including best practices in instruction, digital integration, and multicultural teaching practices * Willingness and flexibility to work during summer months to lead or participate in teacher training or curriculum writing according to the contractual compensation rate * Excellent human relations skills including the ability to work effectively with others * Stay up-to-date on emerging educational technologies in order to stay on the forefront of using technology for increasing student learning * Demonstrate an understanding of &#8220;best practices&#8221; and the latest literature in the field around instruction, digital integration and equity * Collaborate, learn and plan with teachers * Contribute to a positive and professional working environment * Strong work ethic, organizational skills and time management * Flexibility and willingness to undertake a variety of tasks, sometimes at the direction of more than one person * Positive and professional presentation and communication skills * Ability to coach, mentor and motivate individual and/or groups of teachers towards continuous improvement of practice MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: * Must possess a current MN teaching license * Master&#8217;s degree or higher preferred Experience: * Experience in coaching, professional development or teacher leadership * Experience with innovative technology integration practices * Three or more years teaching experience preferred Special Knowledge or Skills: * Demonstrated understanding of technology-related best practices based on the latest digital learning literature and resources * High quality instructional practices in all aspects of teaching and learning * Positive and professional demeanor to assist in creating a positive and professional working environment * Strong work ethic, organizational and time management * Strong and professional communication skills, both written and verbal * Desire and ability to lead and assist in planning and delivering high quality professional development Working Conditions: Office environment.
