Specifically, this teacher will hold a small case load of students with setting I/II needs (EBD, SLD, OHD) as well as teach one course per trimester of 9th grade replacement English. The licensed Special Education Teacher develops and provides specialized instruction aligned to the state standards to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities; evaluates and assesses student progress against instructional objectives; follows state-mandated due process procedures and functions as IEP Manager to assigned students; collaborates with general education staff including co-teaching assignment; communicates regularly with parents/guardians; schedules students and paraprofessionals; and supervises paraprofessionals. Qualifications: A MN Teaching License in Special Education is required; 5-12 English License preferred. Compensation: Minimum full year, full time starting salary is $49,171 (see attached matrix), which will be prorated based on FTE and does not include benefits.
