Job Summary:
WEST ABE is a consortium of educational sites within school districts and four county jails to help adults acquire basic skills. Monticello is the fiscal agent. For more information, visit https://westabe.monticello.k12.mn.us/
WEST is seeking licensed substitute instructors. Substitutes needed Monday - Thursday on student contact days. As a substitute instructor, you set your availability and preferred work sites. Background check and annual online training required for this position. Duties include following established procedures and deliver planned lessons to adult learners when regular staff are unvailable.
Certification and Experience:
* Current short call substitute license or standard teaching license for the State of Minnesota
* Previous experience teaching within an adult basic education program, and working with diverse students and families, preferred.
Essential Skills Required:
* Works well with flexible schedule and reliable attendance.
* Establishes a culture for learning by supporting the mission, beliefs and the strategic plan of the district.
* Inspires and engages all students in relevant learning.
* Maintain confidentiality of information about students, staff, and families.
Start Date: Training immediately after hire
