Preschool - 8th grade Music 4-8th grade Band Job Description Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School in Mound, MN is searching for a student-centered, energetic, and faith-filled teacher responsible for helping students in Preschool - 8th grade achieve to the best of their abilities in music and 4th-8th grade band. This teacher should be able to develop a professional, age-appropriate rapport with students and the school community and challenge them in the performing arts. Regular Classroom Activities (Including, but not limited to:) * To establish and maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the developmental age and interest of the students. * Demonstrate effective, appropriate student-management skills. * * Instructional Responsibilities * Be responsible for the instruction of the Music curriculum and 4th-8th grade bands. * Work with the choir teacher to prepare Christmas concerts and other spring performances. * Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and in harmony with the goals, establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects. * Assess students' accomplishments on a regular basis and provide progress reports as needed, utilizing a variety of assessment tools. * Be responsible for keeping accurate grade books.
