Becker School District is conveniently located off of US Hwy 10, just 20 minutes SE from St. Cloud and 45 minutes NW from the Twin Cities. The District consists of five buildings, all situated on a single, cohesive campus and serves approximately 2,800 students - Early Education Building, Primary School (K-2), Intermediate School (3-5), Middle School (6-8), and High School (9-12). Position Summary:
This position will provide direct intervention services to Primary School students who are eligible for direct literacy intervention in reading. Seeking a dedicated and dynamic Reading Interventionist to join our team at Becker Primary School. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, possess strong leadership skills, have a deep commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school environment, etc.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education
MN teaching license preferred
K-12 Reading License Preferred
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver high quality Minnesota Academic Standards-based lessons to students.
Collaborate with colleagues to carry out a Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS).
Maintain accurate records of students’ grades and attendance.
Participate fully in mentoring and instructional coaching programs, align and deepen curriculum, and improve pedagogy.
Practice and carry out rules and procedures as defined by the Becker Area School District.
Participate in staff in-service, staff meetings, department work, committee work, conference nights, etc.
Communicate in a positive way to develop rapport with learners and treat them with respect.
Contract: 183 days
Salary Range: BA, Step 1 at $47,057/yr to MA60, Step 15 at $89,203 /yr. Placement will vary depending on education and experience. View salary grid on the bargaining unit attached.
