This position will involve coaching, professional development, new teacher induction, technology integration, data analysis and other duties. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities (shared by instructional coaches): Coaching * Support teachers in the development and implementation of Individual Growth and Development plans. * Assist teachers in taking action toward individual goals. * Support teachers in planning, reflecting, problem solving, and decision making. * Develop teachers&#8217; capacity for self-directed learning and growth. Professional development * Assist the Staff Development Committee and Professional Learning Communities (PLC) Leaders in the development and implementation of PLCs. * Participate and lead the District Staff Development Committee. * Assist in the coordination and implementation of professional development opportunities for staff. * Assist in the organization of in-service/workshop days. * Coordinate professional learning activities related to the Virtual Learning Days plan. New-Teacher Induction * Develop, coordinate, and implement mentee and mentor trainings, meetings, and activities. * Coach mentees on best practices in instruction, classroom management, and professional relationships. * Coach mentors on best practices in supporting new teachers. * Participate in Teacher Induction Coordinator (TIC) meetings and trainings. * Assure that all components of the Induction Plan are carried out at the district level. Technology Integration * Train and support teachers in the use of technology to supplement instruction. * Facilitate technology integration training and professional development opportunities for teachers. * Use knowledge about current trends, methods, programs, materials, and equipment for technology integration to provide leadership, staff development, and instructional support to all instructional and administrative staff. * Collaborate with appropriate instructional and technical staff to support, manage, and optimize the use of instructional software and network resources to support quality teaching and learning. Data Analysis * Assist teachers and other school leaders in the mining of student assessment data (FAST, MCA, ACT, ESGI, formative classroom assessments). * Coach teachers as they analyze student data to inform curriculum development and instruction. * Support teachers in the creation of reliable formative classroom assessments. * Work closely with the District Assessment Coordinator (DAC) to assure successful assessment administration. Other Duties * Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Length of Contract: * 184 day contract plus 10 extended days for a total of 194 days. JOB REQUIREMENTS: 1. A minimum of a Masters Degree in an area of education with some emphasis in the area of educational leadership. 2. A minimum of at least five (5) years of successful classroom experience. 3.
