The teacher wil be expected to work with grade-level teams, PLC, and departments to ensure every student learns the critical content and applies their learning through real-life experiences. A great attitude, growth mindset, and love for deep learning are essential. Qualifications: Valid Minnesota K-5 Teaching License along with knowledge/experience in the following areas: * Evidence of design-thinking and the engineering process as it applies to student learning and classroom activities * Evidence of productive experience with problem-based and project-based learning * Knowledge of the current best practices and methodologies in STEAM/STEM * Ability to analyze data from multiple sources to design, implement, monitor and evaluate successful STEAM/STEM initiatives and curriculum * Assist in the development of STEM curriculum aligned with career pathways ensuring the integration of academic and career technical education with 21st century skills * Proven ability to apply science, engineering, and/or math content knowledge, formative assessment, and technology integration at a high level * Using technology to promote learning, creativity, and collaboration * A clear understanding of the integrated relationship of the STEAM/STEM components (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) * Deliver STEAM/STEM-oriented instruction through project-based learning methods * Evidence of designing and implementing hands-on, student inquiry, integrated projects focused on the engineering standards primarily with natural extensions to the Minnesota math and science standards Summary of Duties: * Provide integrated instruction in science, engineering, technology and math * Provide opportunities for skill development in the areas of problem-solving, communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity * Meet with each grade level of students, K-5, for 40 minute blocks * Develop, design, and implement instruction and formative assessments * Follow the mission of the district and vision for the school.
