Genesis Classical Academy is looking for two Elementary teachers to join in supporting our vision of educating and preparing tomorrow’s leaders and citizens. Genesis Classical Academy is a Classical, Christian, and interdenominational school for grades PreK to 12th, in the southern Minnesota community of Winnebago. Job Summary and Requirements
We are looking for trained elementary educators with the following qualifications and characteristics:
· Bachelor’s degree is preferred yet not required with supporting references
· Understanding of an agreement with the mission, philosophy and pedagogy of Classical Christian Education.
Experience
· Two years of teaching experience preferred; however, exceptional candidates will be considered.
· Has demonstrated the ability to teach effectively and manage a classroom proficiently.
· Mastery of subject matters to be taught, as supported by references, education transcripts and prior student achievement data
Teaching Responsibilities:
· Full-time position (school year)
· Proficiently teach core subjects and follow curriculum with fidelity
· Implement individual accommodations and maintain documentation
· Effectively handle classroom management and involve administration in discipline plans while following school discipline guidelines
· Communicate effectively with students, peers, parents and administrators
· Accurately use formal and informal assessment tools
· Effectively follow grading protocols and updating grades on technology within timelines
· Contribute to a positive working environment for colleagues and families, while respecting confidentiality.
· Routinely implement classical education strategies and methodology in the classroom. (Training in classical education methods will be provided)
· Participate in training and meetings as required by administration
· Communicate a clear understanding of biblical principles and worldview and integrate it into subject matter.
· Demonstrate maturity of Christian character
Benefits & Pay
· Pay range: $26K-$32K
