Job Summary: Mahtomedi Public Schools is seeking a highly-talented Special Education School Psychologist to join our team at Mahtomedi Middle School. This position has approximately 75 evaluations per year. Professional Support: * Regular connection and collaboration with other district school psychologists * Support and consultation from the building and district administrative team * New staff mentorship program, including time to meet regularly with a mentor Qualifications: Applicants who will hold the following credentials by August 28, 2024 are welcome to apply. We will work with applicants whose license is in process. * Minnesota Teacher License: School Psychologist Duties and Responsibilities: * Conducts psychological assessments, functional behavioral analysis * Facilitates communication between teachers, administrators, parents and students to find solutions to academic, behavioral, and mental health problems * Provides psychological counseling based on IEP goals and objectives * Evaluates the effectiveness of academic and behavioral management programs being used; disseminates research for use in evaluations and programs * Participate in data-team (screening/progress monitoring) and child-study team (individual problem-solving) meetings * Serve as knowledgeable resource for team members regarding due process rules and procedures * Complete additional duties as assigned by the Director of Student Support Services Mahtomedi Public Schools will not discriminate against individuals based on race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, parental status, status with regard to public assistance, disability, age or sexual orientation.
