Full-time or Part-time Music Teacher Seeking a Passionate and Dedicated Full-time (or 2 Part-time) Music Teacher Lakeview Christian Academy is looking to hire a full-time Music Teacher (or 2 Part-time) to add to our dedicated staff. We are looking to hire a committed Christian teacher who is skilled in both teaching and music, who is passionate about continuing to build our music program while teaching with patience, consistency, enthusiasm and creativity. Additionally, we are seeking someone with strong skills in classroom management. The music classes include: Music classes for Preschool - grade 5 and Middle School & High School music electives, including potentially band and choir. The Music Teacher(s) will put together both Christmas and Spring concerts. Essential Job Functions for Teachers * Act with biblical integrity. * Keep daily and weekly plans. * Establish and maintain proper discipline on the school premises. * Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-organized workspace. * Follow the Matthew 18 principle in dealing with student, parental, staff, or administrative conflict. * Seek the counsel of the Administrator, colleagues, and parents while maintaining a teachable attitude. * Assist in developing/maintaining a positive school climate that encourages orderly conduct by students. Qualifications * A passion to not only interact with students but guide them in the development of their own faith * A bachelor's degree in education or music * An active teaching license (preferred) * Ability to plan and implement effective lessons to keep all students engaged * The ability to implement effective classroom management strategies. * Excellent communication skills * Impeccable integrity in handling confidential and/or sensitive information and situations.
