K–8 Theater, Vocal, and Dance Teacher

Art & Science Academy (ASA), a public charter school district with two campuses (grades K–4 and 5–8), is seeking a dynamic and collaborative K–8 Theater, Vocal, and Dance Teacher to join our creative team starting in August 2025.

Position Overview:
This full-time position includes teaching Theater, Vocal Music, and Dance to students in grades K–8. The teacher will plan and lead engaging lessons, support arts-integrated learning, and help coordinate student performances and school events.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Develop and deliver standards-based lessons in theater, vocal music, and dance
Direct and coordinate student performances and showcase events
Evaluate and assess student progress and provide regular feedback
Collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists on arts-integrated instruction
Use effective classroom management strategies (Catalyst training provided)
Maintain open and consistent communication with families
Participate in a professional, team-based environment with shared planning
Requirements:
Valid Minnesota K–12 teaching license in Theater Arts, Vocal Music, or Dance
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Experience planning performances and working with students in multiple age groups
Ability to adapt and collaborate in a fast-paced, creative environment
Experience coordinating or working alongside paraprofessionals or volunteers
Comfort with classroom technology and integrating arts into academic content
Position Highlights:

Participate in ASA’s Comprehensive Arts Planning Program (CAPP)

Small class sizes (K–4 max of 22; 5–8 max of 25 students)
