The Richfield Public School is currently accepting applications for a part-time Aquatic Program Lead. This position will recruit, schedule, and supervise lifeguards and swim instructors in the execution of the Richfield Olympic Style Swim curriculum. The Aquatic Program Lead must be an energetic, dedicated and motivated individual who assists in the daily direction and administration of Swim Lesson programs.
Summer Hours:
8:45 a.m.- 3:45 p.m.
July 7- August 7: Monday-Thursday
Essential Functions:
* Onsite supervisor of swim lesson activities and instruction.
* Recruits, schedules, and supervises lifeguard and swim instructor staff.
* Ensures the delivery of programming and services meets quality standards.
* Ensures a high level of customer service, which enhances the parent and student experience and satisfaction.
* Ensures a safe environment free of hazards.
* Provides work direction to staff.
* Addresses and resolves all facility, patron, and staff concerns or reports them to the Adult and Aquatics Coordinator and maintenance departments.
* Facilitates training to achieve desired goals and objectives.
* Runs staff orientations, meetings, debriefings, and trainings.
* Ensures daily staff fill out forms and timesheets.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of one (1) year of experience in aquatic programming.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Good organizational skills.
* Proficient computer skills, including Word and Excel.
* Ability to manage and deliver programs to a diverse population.
* American Red Cross Lifeguarding or Lifeguarding Instructor certification and American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification preferred.
Physical Demands:
* Must be able to remain alert, with no lapses of consciousness in a warm environment with air temperatures of 80 degrees or higher.
* Ability to recognize distress signals.
* Ability to be in water ranging from 80-90 degrees for one to four hours.
* Demonstrate swimming skills and stroke technique.
Pay Rate: $24.51-$27.30 per hour.
