Position Overview The ADSIS Reading Interventionist will be responsible for supporting K&#8211;7th grade students who qualify for targeted reading intervention. This paraprofessional-level position is funded through the Alternative Delivery of Specialized Instructional Services (ADSIS) program and is critical in helping us close achievement gaps and provide equitable learning opportunities for all students. The ADSIS Reading Interventionist is also responsible for being a positive contributor to the entire school and staff crew. Job Responsibilities * Provide small group and individual reading interventions for students in grades K&#8211;7, as identified by school-wide assessments and data teams * Implement research-based literacy strategies and interventions * Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to support student learning and monitor progress * Collect and maintain student progress data; assist in progress monitoring and adjusting instruction as needed * Support a positive and inclusive learning environment rooted in HLCS&#8217;s expeditionary and environmental learning values * Participate in relevant professional development and team meetings * Assist in creating engaging literacy experiences connected to nature and real-world learning whenever possible * Maintain confidentiality and uphold the mission, values, and expectations of HLCS Required Qualifications * Valid Minnesota Paraprofessional License or ability to meet licensing requirements * Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students in an academic setting * Strong foundational understanding of literacy instruction and/or willingness to be trained * Ability to build supportive relationships with students and staff * Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with reading intervention programs * Familiarity with ADSIS or similar intervention models * Interest in environmental or expeditionary learning approaches Application To apply for this position, send your resume, cover letter, contact information for 3 professional references, and documentation of any licensure credentials to careers@heartlandlakescs.org<mailto:careers@heartlandlakescs.org>.
