Position Overview:
Rockford Area Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our special education team for the 2025–2026 school year. This full-time position will serve students in grades 5–12 with a range of communication needs. The ideal candidate will be student-focused, collaborative, and committed to fostering growth in communication, academic, and social-emotional skills.

Responsibilities Include:
* Provide speech-language services to students with disabilities in grades 5–12
* Conduct formal and informal assessments to determine eligibility and guide instruction
* Develop and implement IEP goals and objectives in collaboration with the IEP team
* Maintain a consistent and effective data collection system to track student progress and communicate clearly with families and staff
* Collaborate with general and special education staff, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to deliver coordinated support
* Actively participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance with state and federal special education laws
* Support a positive, inclusive learning environment for students with varying communication needs

Qualifications:
* Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
* Valid Minnesota SLP license or eligible for licensure
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Demonstrated commitment to working with students with disabilities
* Experience in school-based settings and familiarity with IEP processes preferred
