Lead the planning, development, and execution of the 7-12 Girls Basketball program by focusing on building a positive culture and developing quality relationships with student-athletes and parents 2. Implement an effective training and competition program that maximizes student-athlete performance in the sport, including strength training 3. Provide direction and evaluation for assistant coaches in the program to ensure continuity through all levels 4. Communicate effectively with all program stakeholders to ensure a positive, quality experience is provided for our student-athletes 5. Manage equipment inventory and budget for program 6. Perform other duties as outlined by the Activities Director, MSHSL, Coaches Handbook, and Section Tournament Administrators QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Valid Minnesota coaching certification or meets acceptable criteria for non-licensed coach 2. Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program 3. Prefer previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport 4. The Head Coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport 5. Works collaboratively with students, parents, and other members of the community 6. Effective interpersonal interactions and communication skills as applied to interaction with both youth and adults 7. Skilled in team building, decision making, problem solving, and conflict resolution 8. Ability to serve as an effective role model for student-athletes and represent Lester Prairie Schools with respect in all communities 9. Experience with &#8216;Why We Play&#8217; and &#8220;Positive Coaching Alliance&#8221; seminar/coaches training preferred. Description:
1. Lead the planning, development, and execution of the 7-12 Girls Basketball program by focusing on building a positive culture and developing quality relationships with student-athletes and parents
