This position focuses on proactive and restorative approaches to student behavior, early intervention, and removing barriers to learning. The ideal candidate is a trauma-informed educator with a deep commitment to equity, positive relationships, and multi-tiered systems of support. Primary Responsibilities &#9679; Develop and implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and support Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions within the MTSS framework &#9679; Help lead and support Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) implementation and schoolwide behavior expectations &#9679; Collaborate, coach and support staff in the area of classroom management and de-escalation strategies &#9679; Use data to monitor behavior trends and adjust supports to improve student engagement &#9679; Facilitate restorative conferences to resolve conflict and repair harm &#9679; Support and guide recess staff and student coaches in fostering positive play environments &#9679; Respond to behavior incidents with appropriate, restorative, and policy-aligned consequences &#9679; Communicate regularly with families about behavior, support plans, and student needs &#9679; Lead bullying prevention efforts and promote a safe, inclusive school climate &#9679; Collaborate with the MTSS Data Team to monitor student behavior, academics, and attendance &#9679; Maintain strong presence and supervision in hallways, lunch, recess, and dismissal areas &#9679; Track and support student attendance, addressing chronic absenteeism through family partnerships and data-informed interventions &#9679; Serve on the District Attendance Team and help coordinate individual attendance improvement plans &#9679; Work closely with teachers and office staff to support consistent attendance routines Preferred Qualifications: &#9679; Valid elementary teaching license, social work license, psychology licensure, behavior specialist or licensed in a related field &#9679; Experience working in elementary education, especially with at-risk populations &#9679; Training or experience in trauma-informed practices, restorative practices, PBIS, and MTSS &#9679; Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with students, staff, and families &#9679; Knowledge of data collection and behavior progress monitoring &#9679; Ability to remain calm and professional in crisis situations Working Conditions: &#9679; School-based role requiring regular interaction with students and staff &#9679; Frequent movement throughout the school building and outdoor supervision areas &#9679; Involves managing challenging behavior and supporting students in crisis Occasional evening meetings or family engagement events This email message is intended only for the use of the individual, individuals, or entity to which it is addressed and may contain information that is privileged, confidential and exempt from disclosure under applicable law.
