ROCORI Public Schools is hiring for a COOK position
Reports to: Head Cook
Department: Food Services Department
Works with: School Staff and Students
Job Summary: The cook serves meals to school children, sets up serving lines with needed items/utensils, prepares food service meals and other tasks required.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. GENERAL ADMINISTRATION
* Assembles food supplies, measures ingredients, and prepares noon food service meals according to standardized recipes and instruction from Head Cook.
* Serves food to students as they progress through serving line. Keeps line stocked during meal serving times.
* Fills dishwasher with utensils, pots, and pans used in the preparation of noon food service meals. Cleans equipment and machines used in the preparation of food items and stores items in the proper location.
* Sets up serving lines. Gathers carts, trays, napkins, and utensils and places them in the proper location.
* Prepares Meals as planned on menu.
* Cleans all food service areas, equipment, tables, utensils, and/or food machines.
* Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
* Level One Certification
* Certification to be obtained within three years of employment as Cook-Baker
* Serve safe training.
* Previous cooking experience.
* Knowledge of working with standardized recipes.
* Ability to lift 40 pounds.
* Basic cooking knowledge.
The pay scale for this position is $17.39- $21.47 per hour. Benefit packages also available.
