Takes and records temperature of food items. Serves food to students. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Some knowledge of materials and methods used in preparing and serving meats, breads, vegetables and other foods on a large scale; some knowledge of the use or care of food preparation equipment; some knowledge of U.S.D.A. rules and regulations; skill in the use of standardized and specialized kitchen utensils and equipment; ability to work long hours while standing and under high temperature conditions; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and students. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Requirements &#8226; Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. &#8226; Physical stamina for standing, walking, using hands, kneeling, and crouching regularly during the workday. Special Requirements ServeSafe Certification or ability to get one. Food Service Worker 1

Rippleside Elementary

Performs manual work preparing and serving school meals, cleaning the cafeteria, and related work as apparent or  assigned. Work is performed under the guidance and supervision of the Food Service Director and Food Service Worker III and Food Service Worker II when Food Service Worker III is not available..  . 

Essential Functions

    •    Physical stamina for standing, walking, using hands, kneeling, and crouching regularly during the workday.

 

Special Requirements 

ServeSafe Certification or ability to get one. 

Current starting pay $15.45
