Job: Cook 5.5hrs/day at Fridley High School
Job Summary:
Child Nutrition Professionals who take pride in serving all customers freshly made nutritious meals. Team members work together to prepare and serve daily menu options to students and staff. Looking for a positive attitude, attention to detail, willingness to learn new skills, team orientated, and enjoys working with students. This position will prepare daily cold entrees, serve customers, complete daily cleaning tasks, and support daily production needs. This position requires a positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work with team members. Position requires team members to adhere to Minnesota Deaprtment of Education, Minneosta Food Code, and Fridley Public Schools policies.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepares, assembles, and serves assigned menu tiems to students, staff, and guest. This can include but not limited to curring fruits and vegetables, preparing sandwiches, putting out condiments, and preparing snacks.
2. Opearate kitchen equipment such as but not limited to Robo coupe, Sectionizer, warmers, dishwasher, and three compartment sink.
3. Utilizes kitchenware but not limited to knives, spatulas, cutting boards, whisks, tongs, spoons, spoodles and dishers.
4. Responsible for daily cleaning and sanitizing tasks including but not limited to washing dishes, opeating the dishwasher, using the three-compartment sink, sanitizing workstations, breakg down boxes, and serving lines betwene lunch peiods.
5. Responsible for completing daily production records for assisgned prepared daily menus as assigned by the cook manager.
6. Maintains positive customer relationships with students, staff, team members, and guests.
7. Setting up and merchandise the serving linew with the correct utensils, trays, napkins, silverware, and menu items. Follows proper portioning techniques.
8. Serves assigned items to customers and operating point of sale stations as assigned b the cook manager and based on department needs.
9. REplenishes food items including fruits, vegetables, or cold entree during and between lunch periods.
Qualifications:
1. HS diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous food service experience preferred
3. Ability to take direction of supervisor.
4. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
5. Excellent customer service skills
6. Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Salary and Schedule -4.5 hours per day M-F; Wages per Nutritional Services master agreement
