7.2 hours/day, 8/25/25 to 10/1/25

Job purpose/Position Summary
Serves as:
* Teacher of multigrade, 1st and 2nd grade students
Duty Percent
Plan & Prepare Instruction 15%
Deliver Instruction to Facilitate Student Learning 70%
Professional Responsibilities 15%
Duties and responsibilities:
The position will work with colleagues to strengthen instruction using technology in order to advance the district mission by
* Providing engaging, equitable instruction to all New Code Academy learners using online best practices.
Profile and Preferences: The successful candidate for the position will have demonstrated, over time, the following belief system and skill set.
An individual who firmly believes:
* All students can learn, and that their learning can be directly influenced by focusing on factors over which we have control.
* That student learning guides practice and decision-making throughout the school and system.
* In shared accountability and responsibility through working interdependently.
* strong relationships and a classroom community can be built online
* Students should have voice, choice, and ownership in their learning
* In fostering a commitment among staff and parent communities to create the conditions for equity and excellence resulting in elimination of the achievement gap.

* Applied educational technology can and should enhance quality instruction.
* Computer Science is essential learning for all students
Essential skills required to perform the work:
* Ability to provide learning experiences for
* Ability to provide foundational professional learning for instructional priorities and provide differentiated support based on each teacher or team’s context.
* Successful experience in facilitating high-quality professional learning and outcomes through application.
* Advanced knowledge of effective instructional practices, including for language learners
* Superior listening, communications and organization skills, including while applying technology tools.
* Courage to do what is best for students.
* Social perceptiveness and strong people skills
* Ability to provide and support engaging standards-based student instruction
* A commitment to personal professional learning and development through a strong understanding of literature related to computer science education, student learning, and online pedagogy.
Education and Experience Required:
* MN Elementary K-6 Teaching License
* Bachelor’s Degree
* Experience teaching elemetary students in an online syncronous setting
