Breakaway Academy Primary School is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as one of the school's two 2nd grade teachers. Breakaway Academy Primary is a private K-3 school in Chaska, MN, with a 4th-8th grade campus in Eden Prairie, MN. The primary school serves approximately 90-100 students K-3, with a maximum class size of 12 students. Our staff places an emphasis on relationship building, high character standards, and instruction that meets each student individually.
2nd grade students participate in traditional classroom learning in the morning, followed by athletic training and Phy Ed after lunch.
A desired 2nd grade teacher will create a positive classroom environment with strong relationship building skills, quality classroom management, and will be a flexible team member with the other 2nd grade teacher as well as the other members of our teaching and coaching staff.
This is a morning-only position with contract hours from 7:45am - 11:45am. There is potential for full day opportunities such as substitute teaching in the afternoon as needed, as well as future open positions in the afternoon either at the primary school or secondary school.
Licensure and Certification: Teachers must hold a current license appropriate to their position.
Salary is negotiable based on education and experience.
