POSITION: Head Debate Coach

HOURS: Vary based on practice time and tournaments
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To carry out the aims and objectives of the debate program; develop students of character through competitive debate, support participants in critical thinking, research, analysis, and public speaking necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. Must be able to adjust work for practices and weekend tournaments.
QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working with high school-age students. A strong background in debate or speech as a participant, teacher, and/or coach is preferred. Must have good communication and organizational skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, parents, community members, and students. Also, understands the role of the level the individual is coaching as it relates to the program.
SALARY: $4,815
