Part-Time Special Education Position: One-to-One Student Instruction
Greenway Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to provide one-to-one support to a special education student. This is a part-time position designed for a licensed special education teacher.
Position Details:
* Schedule: 10 hours per week
* Location: Vandyke Elementary and virtual
* Hours: Flexible, to be completed between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM, Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities:
* Provide direct, one-to-one instructional support to a special education student for two hours, two days a week, on-site at Vandyke Elementary.
* Provide direct, one-to-one instructional support to a special education student for two hours, three days a week, in a virtual setting.
* Implement and adapt lessons and activities to meet the student's unique learning needs and goals.
* Collaborate with the special education team to monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed.
* Maintain clear and consistent communication with the student, parents, and school staff.
Qualifications:
* Must hold a valid special education teaching license.
* Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs is preferred.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
* Proficiency with virtual learning platforms and technology.
